Hi,
We can not afford a disney vacation this year and was wondering what activities/vacations to do in the area or not too far for a family of four? We are up for anything. Any suggestions for our vacation?

I am interested in this too. We moved here from Georgia a few months ago and each year in the spring we would drive to Disney, but this year we don't have the time, money, or patience to drive that far with 2 young kids. I have asked about Six Flags in Largo as something to do for the day, but people tell me I don't want to go there. Whats the best park within say 3-4 hours of here where you could spend a couple nights.

Well there's always the beach. Gettysburg, Wolf Creek Lodge, Sesame Place, Dutch Wonderland, etc.

Whats Wolf Creek Lodge? Would Gerrysburg be interesting at all for young preschoolers?
I did look up Seseame Place, would that be enough for a few days? Looks smallish. Although I did find that Hersney Park is not too far from Dutch Wonderland. That might be a possibility. Thanks!

I guess this is the Wolf Creek Lodge she is talking about, in the Pocono's. I have never been but it looks interesting with an indoor water park. www.greatwolf.com
